Cookie Policy
This policy explains how Tracer Research Security inc. ("Tracer") uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies on tracersecurity.ca.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file stored by your browser when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as local storage, can remember site preferences or support analytics.
In this policy, we use the word cookies to include cookies, local storage, scripts, and similar browser technologies.
2. Consent and default settings
Essential site preferences can be stored because they are needed to operate the website or remember choices you make, such as language, theme, and privacy preference.
Analytics tools are optional. We load Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Web Analytics only after you accept analytics in the privacy banner or privacy preferences.
3. What we use
At the date of this policy, Tracer uses a narrow set of cookies and browser storage. We do not currently use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, social tracking pixels, or marketing automation cookies.
If we add new categories of non-essential cookies, they will be described in this policy and managed through the website privacy preferences.

4. Waitlist forms
If you join the waitlist, the form sends your first name, last name, email address, language preference, consent status, source, and timestamp to Tracer so our team can manage early access communications.
Those form values are not sent to analytics tools.
5. Managing your preferences
You can accept or reject analytics from the banner shown on your first visit. You can change that choice later with the Privacy preferences link in the footer.
You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you clear site data, the banner may appear again because your previous choice was removed from your browser.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if our website technology changes. If we add a new non-essential analytics, advertising, or tracking tool, we will update this policy and the consent experience.
